Daily Duties at Wilbur Ellis Company:
Primary duties included managing over-the-road, rail, and ocean-going export and import freight for a multi-national import/export trading house. Performed cost/benefit analysis for finding efficiencies and maximizing profits for the company. I worked with a staff of 10 people in a busy and stressful environment. The markets were heavily dependent on world economic forces, often out of our offices control. The traders made the trades, and I managed, and arranged the transportation at the best and lowest prices I could find to increase the traders profits on each trade.
