Daily Duties at Amersham Pharmacia Biotech, Inc.:

Managed daily operations of two chemists, two moleular biologists, one buyer/planner and one administrative assistant. Provided support to three R&D staff. Reported to the Manufacturing Director of the Amersham production site in Cleveland and participated in weekly production status meetings. After being given the directive to develop a quality system to meet ISO 9002: 1994 requirements under the guidance of the QA Manager at the Cleveland site, directed all production staff to create their own specific procedures. Developed all quality system level administrative procedures. To meet production needs provided hands on assistance in the chemistry lab and the molecular biology lab. Provided techinical support to internal customers(Amersham) and external customers. Upon merger with Pharmacia, the decision was made to close small satellite sites and transfer their technology elsewhere. I transferred the DNA product line production to a production site in Cardiff, Wales.
