Daily Duties at Iridex Corporation:
Reporting to Vice President of Operations Managed operations, manufacturing engineering, materials, including: procurement, planning, outsourcing, and shipping for a public Ophthalmic and Aesthetic Laser Company; supervised 45 employees; master scheduled; managed top dollar key suppliers; ISO and QSR procedure implementation team member; ERP coordination as group leader; directed cross functional work cell meetings. Actively work on gross margin improvements through monthly and annually planned COGS reductions. Ensure that standards for product quality, manufacturing costs and throughput, equipment and operator performance, employee safety and housekeeping standards are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize efficiency. Maintain ongoing analysis of key issues, projects, and objectives, and provide regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly etc.) that include metrics to summarize the status and trends of key operational parameters.
