Daily Duties at Transystem Corporation:

Track Expansion Projects for the BNSF Railroad, for inspection, Material Testing for soil and concrete and for Earthwork Grading, Bridges, Culvert inspection, Train Safety and Contractor's safety in Powder River Region of Wyoming. Utility relocation for electrical and communication were required to be completed during grading operations. Kansas City, Missouri Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad Company Nebraska and Wyoming Track Expansion Projects for the Powder River Coal Fields, Construction Manager, Construction Coordinator, Quality Control Inspector with bridge construction, box culverts, pipe culverts, concrete placement, precast concrete components, and steel girders for track expansion projects for second, or third, or fourth mainlines in the Powder River Region of Wyoming. Utilities relocation, fences, seeding, storm water management, RFI submittals, Safety Coordinator for Contractors and Railroad Company. Review and process change orders and work directives for changes, and additions to the Contract work. Capital improvement projects and track maintenance work areas. • Monitor bridge and pile driving operations, and directional bores of culvert pipe for QA and QC and to ensure compliance with OSHA Safety and engineering specifications for shoring of open excavations near live tracks. • Conducted material testing for soil compaction, and concrete inspection daily. • Coordinated the construction inspection with five (5) inspectors for earthwork, pile driving, culverts and bridges and seeding. • Coordinated with the BNSF on Safety for flagging protection of work areas, for BNSF’s personnel, and Contractors. Implemented a near miss program with Contractors for Safety at the request of the BNSF Railroad. Daily job briefing with Contractors and Sub Contractors and as job conditions and work areas changed during the course of the day. • Monitor Critical Picks for crane safety and concrete placement to protect workers and train operations. • Process Contracts with change orders and work directives for any changes to contract quantities for the BNSF Railroad from $1 M to $11 M per project.
