- Ensured accuracy of comprehensive ($200M+) global clinical trial budgets and worked closely with trial teams from to foster an understanding that allowed for timely and accurate budget submissions. - Effectively managed the departmental budget/forecast process, resulting in satisfaction of all requirements and reporting deadlines within a complex global matrix environment. - Fostered client understanding of key financial processes, from PO creation thru contract approval and ensured expeditious resolution of issues thru pro-active escalation management and communication with the Purchasing, Legal and Corporate Accounting departments. - Supervised and managed the workload of a budget analyst, set goals and objectives and assessed progress through a formal performance appraisal process. - Twice appointed as a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal auditor (allowing the company to save money on external audit fees), and performed compliance testing on the Treasury and A/R functions.
