Daily Duties at Continental Automotive Singapore Pte Ltd:

• Design, develop and release hardware architecture of AUDIO and NAVIGATION platforms by using NXP SoC (System on Chip), TI SoC and ADI SoC for automotive application • Complete 3 car audio product life cycles (PLC) and deliver to customers: PSA Citroen with 400,000 pcs/year , KIA Motor with 400,000pcs/year (Continental Automotive Singapore Best Project 2009), and Fiat Motor with 500,000pcs/year • Lead project team members to solve difficulties and troubleshooting in all phases of project activities relating to hardware electronics design and/or software bugs • Lead reduction of BOM cost effectively during design stage to increase project EBIT(earnings before interest and tax) • Participate in embedded car audio/navigation product development activities that include defining functional specifications, design and implementation of circuits, defining and conducting product validation tests, and creation of design documentation • Design RF circuits for FM/AM/SDARS by using different TUNERS, optimize RF circuit performance by fine tuning parameters ,and guide software engineers to implement • Organize and create DFMEA review to prevent potential failure in product development stage • Evaluate and select various embedded 32-bit ARM7 microprocessor, controller, DSP, power amplifier as well as provide support in sourcing decisions and supplier selection • Perform project schematic, PCB layout design review and optimization for functional performance and EMC compliance • Author design validation & verification test plans and design test parameters for new designs, and implement validation and verification tests • Design GUI in C++,C# with Microsoft Visual Studio for product hardware testing • Expertise in various modules of TUNERS, USB, IPOD, SD card, GPS, Bluetooth, FPGA, Class D power amplifier, provide design guidance and recommendation for related company projects • Evaluate, compare benchmark and analyse performance of firmware running with new hardware modules, to generate proper reports of findings • Deal with problem reports (PR) from customers, find root causes and provide effective solutions • Support and author test guideline to company factory production lines (5 production lines) for product validation test setup and testing ( using serial port to communicate between DUT and testing systems)
