Daily Duties at Schlumberger Reda Production Systems, Singapore Center:

• Design electronic PCB boards by using high temperature MCM (Multi-chip Module) for using in oil and gas wellbore high precision GAUGES that measure, record down-hole pressures, temperatures and vibration by using pressure sensors, temperature sensors and vibration sensors, and provide technical leadership innovation and direction for new products and redesigns which fulfill CLMs (Concurrent lifecycle managements) requirements • Improve reliability and quality for pressure, temperature and vibration GAUGES at HIGH temperature (150°c degree )and HIGH pressure (6000 psi) at deep downhole environment in oil& gas • Provide effective multiple solutions to reduce impact of high AC imbalance voltage (600 VAC) to analog gauges and digital gauges • Take a lead for failure analysis and troubleshooting from manufacturing and field for various gauges ranging from 100°c to 250°c, and provide technical solutions and recommendations • Co-operate with software engineers to improved down-hole gauges (using high temperature microcontroller) measurement accuracy • Prepare and improve relevant documentation and necessary analysis for new and existing designs, also prepare test plan and other product supporting documentation for prototype testing • Cooperate with InTouch engineers to quickly solve different kinds of field abnormal or failed issues • According to ECR (Engineering change request) to make modifications to existing products to meet Operational and Manufacturing requirements. • Design test plan documents for GAUGE life test and vibration & shock test, product and components qualification test, conduct tests and document test results, analyze failure and provide solution to extend GAUGES lifetime to 4 years • Conduct and participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, software codes and artifacts, ensure commitments are agreed, reviewed and met • Support oil field requirements, and analyze failed Gauges monitored by Oil surface monitoring system (Uniconn temperature and pressure instrument) reported by oil field customers, take charge of Dismantle, Investigation and Failure Analysis (DIFA) on field returned gauges • Provide PCB design guidance to PCB designers, mentor junior engineers and technicians regarding technical matters • Lead weekly teleconferences with international suppliers to solve technical issues • Improve switching mode power supply/DC-DC converter performance and reliability • Lead resourcing for phase out or obsolete components for existing product • Create and update product requirements, specifications, test procedures, design development and design standard documents
