Daily Duties at Sysco:

Performed general ledger accounting which included: Prepared monthly journal entries and financial statements, including cash flow, and P& L variance analysis. Prepared monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and assisted with quarterly and year-end audits and audit schedules. Maintained complete control of weekly A/P and A/R functions. Responsible for processing carrier invoices, balancing and reconciling daily/monthly activities with the mainframe (AS/400) and ledger system. Handled all customer service issues from carriers or operating companies concerning discrepancies on payment or billings. Managed Sysco operating company claims against freight carriers as well as working with operating companies to resolve situations related to these claims. Balanced daily transmission confirmations to all invoice reports, processed all Accounts Receivable, posted third party payments, and monitored accounts. Assisted and managed the Work In Progress Report to ensure project deadlines was met in a timely matter.
