Daily Duties at L 3 Mpri, Inc.:

Contracted by the US Department of Justice/White House Initiative (through the Women’s Justice and Empowerment Program) to provide training for the South Africa Police Department in Sexual Offence Investigations. Collaborated with two co-instructors to design, develop, and implement the criminal investigation-training curriculum in the areas of responding to and securing crime scenes; identifying, collecting, and analyzing evidence; interrogating witnesses, suspects, and victims; case management and documentation; testimony and court room conduct; and specific needs of sexual assault victims as it relates to verbal and physical communication, medical assistance, family support, and follow-up services. Visited and consulted with sexual assault centers throughout South Africa and the Attorneys who prosecute cases to evaluate the current system in place and made critical recommendations for improvements. Established and maintained effective working relationships with host country to foster the goals and objectives of the program. Identified ongoing needs of host country’s law enforcement and reported on program outcomes.
