Daily Duties at Pennsylvania State University:

•Operated fermentation of Fodder Beets to produce ethanol in small scale bioreactors •Completed all pre fermentation processes from extracting the sugar from the beet to growing the inoculums •Determined all the setting s at which the reactor would run based on calculations and case study research •Performed sterilization of reactor and lab tools •Maintained the lab and worked towards fixing older machines for future use •Performed analysis of the fermentation using HPLC, spectrophotometer and DNSA methods
