Daily Duties at City Of Norfolk (Local Government):

Daily tasks included but were not limited to: • Annually created a budget reflective of the goals and mission of the Norfolk Emerging Leaders program. ("Earn while you Learn" • Develop recruitment strategies to enable the selection of competent efficient part-time workforce • Supervise, motivate and evaluate staff, in support of the City’s workforce development program during 6 months of the fiscal year • Hire 250-500 students, 15-25 Municipal Interns, and 10-11 Counselors (temporary employees) with a HRIS hiring approach • Developed and oversee the program budget of 550k and work to ensure fiscal responsibility in deliverables and program outcomes • Developed annually a civic engagement community project for execution of a capstone project for Municipal Interns (programs focus on social change in the community) • Create work development plans and performance review tools to assess the growth and development of the program participants by the citywide supervisors
