Daily Duties at Cb Richard Ellis:
As Vice President/Regional Manager, I was responsible for over 700 service technician direct reports. I was responsible for all aspects of running the “business” which represented my region (the Western 2/3 of the United States). Supported by two district managers I oversaw HR functions, the budget, and assisted in the development of training programs. I provided technical resources (one-on-one “hands on” training, troubleshooting and personnel development) to techs, property managers, brokers, and owners/clients. As a resource I inspected, diagnosed, and made recommendations for the correction, rehabilitation, restoration, repairs and replacement of building equipment and/or systems to obtain the goals and objectives of the owner. On behalf of the owner, I prepared specifications for pre-project development and performed project management services in league with or in place of local management responsibility. I was responsible for the business affairs of my region encompassing approximately 2/3 of the United States. The regional budget exceeded $30.0 million. As Regional Director of Engineering, I performed the role of corporate engineering resource for owners, brokers, property managers, and on-site operating engineers for the Southeast United States and US Virgin Islands. I also performed as a regional project development and project management professional. CB Richard Ellis formed a joint venture partnership with EMCOR, the world’s largest mechanical and electrical contracting holding company in April, 2000. The new company is named CB Richard Ellis Technical Services, Inc. All pre-existing CB Richard Ellis maintenance technicians and regional support were rolled into CBRE Tech Services effective April 1, 2000.
What they like about Cb Richard Ellis:
You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
