Daily Duties at Tech Corner \ The Amicus Group:
Designed and implemented corporate server, database, firewall and VPN environments for a number of businesses in different industries. These systems included determination of required computer hardware and software, the implementation of Virtual Machine (VM) environments to support various operating systems including Linux, Windows 2008 servers. Database implementations included Oracle 11g and Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Also provided database maintenance, support, and troubleshooting to numerous customers including but not limited to updating table statistics and index rebuilds, backup and recovery, database replication and management, database version upgrades, and performance tuning. Other significant recent projects include the installation and configuration of several Document and Content Management (DCM) systems at the enterprise level. Systems installed include Hyland OnBase and the Open Source version of Alfresco. Supported the implementation of workflow-driven transaction processing systems using various DCM Systems. Extensive experience with Apple Mac OSX environments, including workstations and Leopard and Lion Server implementations. Most systems included the implementation of e-mail, calendaring, and web content along with dual booted workstations needed to support both the Mac and Windows environment. Experience with Drupal for web-page management and migration.
