Labor and Delievery Department:5/1987-9/1990 Patient care of active labor patients and premature labor patients. Circulated vaginal deliveries. Circulated and scrubbed csection deliveries. Monitored and managed IV medications for premature labor patients. Circulated and scrubbed tubal ligations. Managed care and IV medications for patients with fetal demise. Pain Management Department:9/1990-6/2000 Proficient in Bard pump infusions, patient assessment, continuous epidural narcotic infusions, astromorph interthecal injections, chronic pain management, assist and monitoring of SI joint and facet injections, medial branch and ganglion nerve blocks, epidural steroid, RACZ procedure and trigger point injections. Monitoring conscious sedation patients and shift charge nurse. On call for anesthesia IV access. Developed managed and taught education program for Pain Management and Advanced Pain Management nurse credentialing. Surgical services:6/2000-8/2001 Preformed first and assistant scrub and circulating duties for neurology, urology, gynecology, endoscopic, spinal cord implants, implanted continuous morphine pumps, orthopedic, vascular and general services. Conscious sedation for Endo, Chronic Pain, and Electric Shock Therapy Procedures. Proficient in accessing difficult IVs for procedures and anesthesia.
