Daily Duties at Cvs Pharmacy:

• Manage daily operations of the pharmacy including purchasing and maintaining medications and supplies • Administer vaccinations • Participate in staff pharmacist duties • Oversee medication therapies and drug management programs • Implement and uphold proper pharmacy procedures and standards • Develop, schedule, train and oversee all pharmacy personnel for the company within the district • Preceptor and mentor for multiple pharmacy school students and technician school students • Work with various levels of management to resolve issues • Review pharmacy sales, expense and productivity figures • Monitor department profit and loss and adjust plans as necessary • Act as point of contact for regulatory and legal audits • Respond to customer concerns, questions, and problems regarding prescriptions, merchandise and service • Counsel patients on medications and overall therapy • Compound commercially unavailable medications • Participate in a medication therapy management program • Recommend over-the-counter therapies • Input, process and verify medication orders • Review medication profiles for potential drug related medical problems • Answer drug information questions • Maintain inventory of medications and supplies • Transcribe prescription messages from physician offices • Contact physician offices regarding refills and modification of drug therapies • Interact with insurance providers concerning billing/reimbursement issues
