Daily Duties at Intel Corporation:
Directed regional management of philanthropic investments and community affairs, acting as primary company representative on the east coast with authority over a $5 million portfolio of grant programs. Targeted key community leaders and influencers to gain buy-in behind implementation of education programs aligning with Intel vision for social responsibility. Supervised up to 8 personnel throughout numerous key initiatives, including elevating a state program to a national level, coordinating the United Way campaign for Intel, and driving education policy as chair of a coalition of state employers. Launched education programs focused on STEM improvement through consulting with K-12 school and university level educators. Collaborated with a third party to build a program evaluation model and conduct evaluation and training of courses and course instructors.
What they like about Intel Corporation:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
