Daily Duties at Ncm Capital:
• Implemented and manage NCM’s company-wide investment process, including 5 investment professionals, which incorporates quantitative, technical and fundamental research. • Since becoming Director (10/11), equity portfolios have outperformed their indexes by 200-500bps • Identified partners for and facilitated the formation of 2 joint ventures (Terrapin Partners, LLC and Square 1 Ventures), to increase NCM’s product mix to include alternative investments. • Manage client services, including communicating performance results, quarterly reports, presenting to investment boards and consultants as well as marketing to prospective clients and executing RFPs. • Continuously contact and meet with “C” level executives of current and potential investments, analysts and industry contacts to collect data points and to test investment hypothesis. • Actively manage technology and consumer staples equity positions across large cap, mid cap, focused and value strategies. • Search for investment or profit taking opportunities by performing fundamental research and uncovering disconnects (both positive and negative) between consensus opinion and future catalysts. • Evaluate investment opportunities in private companies and IPOs.
