This entailed daily communications to them about ongoing studies, issues with their projects, project time lines, and a weekly spreadsheet listing all studies currently in house (Richmond, Virginia and Madison, Wisconsin facilities) and current status of each study • Ensured quality and timeliness of departmental operations • Provided financial updates in regards to expectations and actual performance • Reviewed project data and approved for second level sign-off • Prepared and reviewed reports for FDA submission • Supervised departmental staff - Directly responsible for 10 employees whose job functions range from bench chemists (Associate Scientist) to Associate Group Leader • Experienced with handling infectious material in a P2 containment laboratory and supervising staff in this facility SENIOR SCIENTIST 1995-2000 • Client contact - ensuring deadlines are met and clients are satisfied. • Analyzed and approved project data. • Troubleshoot methods, including extraction and instrumentation. • Recommended process improvements for increased productivity and efficiency. • Supervise team. • Trained departmental staff and developed training materials. ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST/SCIENTIST 1992-1995 • Planned and executed analysis with minimal supervision. • Operated and maintained analytical instrumentation. • Generated and maintained project records.
