Daily Duties at One America:
Design, code, test and implement software solutions for the retirement services division. Gathered/documented both business and technical requirements (more technical than business). Held/attended meetings with key project players to discuss project timeline, requirements, status and outstanding problems/issues.
What they like about One America:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.

Climbers who worked at One America had these interests:
Books | |
---|---|
The Bible |
My favorite book. Learned how to live (and work) by reading regularly the word of God. |
Southwestern Advantage Science |
A book I bought for our kids to give them more exposure to the world of science. I've been reading much of the space science section of the book as I have great interest in learning about the origin of life, on Earth and the universe as a whole. |
Love Must Be Tough |
A book by Dr. James Dobson that gets to the heart of the problem with marital relationships, and relationships in general. It is what I call my "Marriage Bible", and has given us some of the tools we need to keep our marriage strong. |
