Daily Duties at Nisshinbo Automotive Manufacturing, Inc.:

Responsible for managing and supervising 12 reports – three quality engineers, one inspection and test supervisor, two test technicians, one receiving inspector, and five inspectors. Responsible for an annual budget of the quality and test department - $1MM. Responsible for managing 12 direct vendors, and 25 total vendors. Responsible for translating the requirements of seven brake-system suppliers and ten vehicle OEM manufacturers. Received product from ten different countries, and shipped disc pads to five different countries. Developed policies and procedures that reduce the cost of the overall supply chain and equipment acquisitions. Maintained and updated the Materials Management Information System. Coordinated capital equipment purchases for specific lines of business. Acted as a resource of information concerning vendors and GPO contracts. Applied advanced knowledge and clinical expertise to identify products that can be standardized, modified, or eliminated to increase operating efficiency. Ensured cost­effective utilization of products, including but not limited to medical/surgical supplies, capital equipment, and services. Evaluated the cost benefits of product changes for standardization and/or contract/vendor changes and makes recommendations for action to management. Evaluated the consumption of materials on an ongoing basis.
