 Assistant Law Director, Village of Moreland Hills.  Acting Assistant Law Director, City of Beachwood.  Provided legal counsel to elected officials, senior management, and employees on a multitude of issues including compliance, due process proceedings, ethics, public records, and labor and employment.  Reviewed, drafted, and negotiated various types of agreements to protect client interests.  Revised various handbooks and personnel policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.  Investigated and evaluated employee issues; provided employee discipline advice and counsel.  Attended depositions, coordinated and worked with outside counsel, and provided litigation avoidance counseling.  Represented clients’ interests at public meetings; drafted legislation and counseled on legal effects of such action.  Analyzed and communicated comprehensive strategies to achieve goals.
