Promoted to National Account Manager for managed markets in 1997 where I focusing on major health plans and Kaiser facilities throughout the west. Provided support and direction to the sales force regarding formulary approvals. Took leadership for the Western Region during the vacancy of a Regional Manager. My position required me to call on the Permanente Medical Group eye specialists to prescribe the Bausch and Lomb approived medications. Met with all of the Drug Information Directors throughout California, Portland and Denver Regions. Developed a business plan to approach other major health plans to optimize business; PacifiCare, Health Net, Blue Shield of California along with the major teaching hospitals; UCSF, Pacific Medical Center and Stanford.
