Daily Duties at Lockheed Martin:

On site representative monitoring all installation and removal of all items in work packages and represents the lead weight engineer. Collecting and forwarding to the lead weight engineer all documentation scaled weights recorded on weight reporting forms. Supporting daily meetings and other non-specified meetings during PSA when requested. Naval Ship Yard experience Skills exercised included leading, listening to naval architects, marine engineers, consulting engineers and vendors needs, connecting solutions to those needs and effective follow - through. Maintaining a spreadsheet/record of the types of repairs being seen in field experience - Word, Excel, Outlook. Rig and handle cargo in port; utilize signals for directing winch and crane operators, loading and off-loading items from Navy ships. “PSA2” I was involved in “LCS 1 Freedom class” which features a semi - planing monohull design that requires a proactive weight control program to ensure that the ship maintains satisfactory performance characteristics during its service life. Working with the Lockheed Martin, and Gibbs & Cox Inc, LCS Planning Yard team to maintain the weight control program which ensures that the assigned ship remains within its naval architectural limits. Every item weighed was identified with the appropriate modification designation(s) (PCW, AWI or similar), LCS Part Number and the ship’s compartment in which the item is to be installed or removed and recorded in the weight reporting form of the type of work is being done on the system there working on.
