Daily Duties at U. S. Army Reserves:

Medical-Surgical Nurse/Unit Commander/Captain November 2010–Present Provide support to drilling U.S. Army Reservists one weekend, monthly. Ensured soldiers are trained and prepared to perform hemodialysis treatments and treat acute and chronic patients. Planned hemodialysis training and clinical operations training sessions. Coordinated over 20 annual trainings to ensure soldiers are ready for deployment, such as sexual harassment and assault, on equal opportunity and physical fitness and weight standards for 100% of soldiers. Completed Commander Safety training and additional Duty Unit Victims Advocate Course. Conducted audit on equipment and supplies valued at $1,000,000. Developed activities to boost Soldiers’ moral. Ensure Soldiers were paid on time, enforced U.S. Army standards, maintained retention rates, and tracked performance for promotions, awards, or disciplinary actions. Promoted a Soldier from Private First Class to Specialist. Medical-Surgical Nurse / First Lieutenant ● October 2008 – November 2010 Platoon Leader of 53 Soldiers. Supervised and participated in planning, allocating resources, and conducting assessment training. Implemented the Army Height and Weight Program, according to AR 600-9, for 280 Performed risk assessments, delivered reviews, and recommended disciplinary actions on 185 Soldiers. Soldiers. Improved compliance of Army standards for height and weight from 34% to 83%. Received awards for the War on Terrorism and Overseas Award. Promoted to Captain and selected as the Unit Commander of a Hemodialysis Medical Detachment.
