Daily Duties at Self Emp Loyed / Independent Instructor Of Emergency Services:
As an independent instructor I have been retained by various agencies and organizations to conduct training for both the general public (basic level initial EMT training) as well as seasoned emergency service (fire, EMS and Law Enforcement) personnel. I have conducted training as a part time faculty member at the Connecticut Fire Academy, the Connecticut Municipal Police Academy and under contract, with the National Fire Academy. In addition, I have also conducted training or lectured at various colleges and universities here in Connecticut. I also conducted training for the military in Japan. I primarily specialize in fire and EMS training but have conducted arson investigation training for municipal police officers.
What they like about Self Emp Loyed / Independent Instructor Of Emergency Services:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
