Daily Duties at Michigan Schools And Government Credit Union:

o Administers and Credit Union’s core financial software programs and supports related mainframe activities. o Initiates and follows through on all activities related to the evaluation business requirements for business application integrations, service activations, and delivering of new or modified software systems enhancements, including remote services and related banking interfaces o Supports audio and imaging server. o Coordinates the loading of new software (patches/releases). o Develops and manages the Credit Union’s data processing software programming needs. o Assists the IS Manager with ensuring that information systems activities related to the Credit Union’s automated teller machines are performed as needed. o Assists the IS Manager with researching, planning and implementing new technologies to improve member delivery systems and staff efficiency. o Participates in the performance of routine and annual security audits and responds according to decisions resulting from the annual IS audit and examination reviews. o Provides system support services to all user departments. o Assists with implementation of new projects, coordinating process with project leader. o Stays abreast of changing trends and regulations within technology and financial information industry. o Exceeds member service expectations by providing superior quality service in a professional, efficient and courteous manner. o Sets up and processes daily system reports and coordinates distribution of reports. o Assists in maintaining control and access to the Credit Union’s computer equipment and data files. Maintains inventory of all computer hardware and software programs. o Assists as the help desk for all information system users in areas such as PC software and hardware support, voice and communication technologies and optical storage to ensure that information systems problems are solved quickly without significant interruption to member service. o Contributes in the development of the credit union’s overall policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Participate in credit union committees and management meetings to enhance teamwork and improve service delivery to credit union members and internal customers, (i.e., vendors, employees). o Assists the IS Manager with the preparation of the annual operating budget for the Information Systems Department within designated periods. o Maintains maintenance agreements on departmental equipment, and authorizes repairs and maintenance. o Demonstrates engagement and commitment to Credit Union initiatives. o Understands the principles of the Credit Unions financial success. o Actions consistently serve to improve relationships and trust with coworkers. o Sets and achieves high standards of excellence while interacting with coworkers. o Represents the credit union at professional organizations and community activities.
