Daily Duties at Training And Education Command:

Instructs - Presents formal and informal classroom instruction, using established lesson plans and media, covering a broad spectrum of construction topics applicable to training students attending the Basic Combat Engineer (BCE) course and intermediate and supervisory-level courses. Classes are attended by up to 40 students at a time. (70%) Administers Tests - Proctors and grades tests, both written and performance based, covering material previously taught as well as providing for student remediation, when necessary. (10%) Compiles After Instruction Documentation - Collects evaluation data from students using established Instructional Rating Forms (IRF) and Examination Rating Forms (ERF). Compiles collected data onto After Instruction Reports (AIR) for submission to supervisory and curriculum development personnel. (5%) Maintains Accuracy of Basic, Intermediate, and Supervisory-level Curriculum - Expected to update courseware, curricula, and the classroom environment as required by the supervisory and curriculum development personnel. Serves as a subject matter expert of Basic, Intermediate, and Supervisory-level courses and participates as a member on the Course Content Review Board (CCRB) to provide clarification to questions on lesson material and instruction documentation as it relates to recommended changes to the curricula, courseware, or training aids. Provides input during learning analysis of the tasks. Attends meetings, briefings, courses, and workshops related to improving instructional techniques and fielding of new equipment, attends Basic and Supervisory-level course class/lesson scheduling meetings. (15%)
