Then going into actually making the code changes, unit test the change by myself, compile the changes into the system to perform end-to-end testing and regression testing. Test cases will be created at this time too. After enough testing in the Development environment, promote the changes into a UAT environment and have the users test the changed functionality and the overall system to make sure nothing breaked. After receiving user sign-off on UAT, migrate the changes into the Production environment. Post Production release will be the application support duty. If bugs are found, talk to the users and try to find a work around. If necessary, make quick fixes and after going through the Development Environment test, UAT Environment test, quickly get the fixes into Production ASAP. Gathering requirements, documenting them and getting a sign-off, plan and design the changes, work on the development, perform unit test, end-to-end test and regression testing, promote code to UAT environment, have users perform UAT and releasing the code into Production is the SDLC process.
