Daily Duties at Battelle Memorial Institute:

Manager for the Battelle Contractor team supporting MCOTEA for the Marine Corps CBRNE PM Office. Don was also tri-hatted as the Deputy Manager, Manager RDT&E Branch, and Relationship Manager for Battelle Stafford Office. He directly managed over thirty personnel to support the Marine Corps Systems Command Program Manager for CBRNE. Don directed technical and business operations across the four CBRNE commodity areas and the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF). The Stafford Operations consisted of two hundred personnel and facilities in Stafford, VA; Albany, GA; Jacksonville, NC; Atlanta, GA; Carlsbad, CA; Indian Head, MD; and New Orleans, LA. Don continually coordinated efforts with Government personnel and other team members. He also managed the Consequence Management Interoperability Service (CMI-Services) Group at Battelle Stafford Operations. Don led his team through the functional process and business performance improvement through the use of shared information The CMI-Services project is multi-million dollar program and multi contractor team involved in the development of an information sharing service for those responding to WMD incidents. The group is composed of 40+ IT analysts, developers, programmers, engineers, and other specialists. Prior to CMI-Services, Don led several teams in RDT&E efforts involving CBRNE detectors, Biological Defense utilizing the immune system, and other RDT&E efforts.
