Daily Duties at Space Power Inc.:
at Space Power INC. in the mid-eighties and early nineties. I was designing and building 30Kwe and 50KWe Switch mode dc-dc power converters. These power supplies were designed for space based satellite station keeping thrusters. We used Hybrid technology where thousands of mos-fets and their driver circuitry were assembled onto AL 2o3 (Ceramic) substrates interconnected via wire an aluminum ultrasonic wire bonding machine. At the time I designed, assembled, wire bonded and tested the complete power supply assembly. After testing I would integrate the power supplies to the payload at the customer facility. Traveled to Moscow Russia for test of their systems.
