Daily Duties at Timmons Group:

Performed and managed engineering planning, analyses, and design work for projects involving flood studies, floodplain development permitting, and stormwater drainage/improvement studies. • Utilized engineering software packages HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, TR-55, NFF, and AutoCAD. • Prepared engineering reports and permit applications for flood hazard reduction studies and evaluations. • Coordinated with clients and regulatory officials to establish project parameters. • Working with project team, established project parameters to minimize wetland impacts and NPDES requirements. • Coordinated with in-house surveying crews, surveyor subcontractors, and geotechnical testing services. • Performed hydrologic/hydraulic engineering analyses and prepared a special use permit, conditional letter of map revision, erosion/sediment control plan, design drawings and specifications, and a riparian buffer restoration plan for a flood control levee. • Routinely coordinated with local, state, and federal permitting officials to address questions or comments on design/study concepts and results, technical merit, justification for alternatives, and environmental impacts.
