Daily Duties at Central Minnesota Community Corrections:
As a Juvenile Probation Officer, I maintained a caseload of 100+ youth. I provided detailed reports and case documentation of all assigned cases for the agency and for the courts. I conducted thorough Pre-Sentence Investigations through the use of interviews, review of relevant documentation, reports and other court records. I networked closely with multiple county and public agencies, along with placement facilities in support of the youth on my caseload. I also facilitated and/or participated in meetings with parents, attorneys, social workers and school personnel. I was well versed in the Minnesota State Laws relevant to juvenile probation. I made timely, informed and appropriate recommendations to the court for dispositions of adjudication or sentencing based on age, stage of development, specialized treatment needs, family and other social circumstances, and other factors on a case-by-case basis.
