In the Waste Engineering group, wrote and maintained procedures for radioactive waste packaging and processing at a facility, which processes spent nuclear fuel from the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. Conducted scoping meetings involving project stakeholder organizations, including Radiological Controls, Environmental Engineering, Safety, and Operations. Characterized waste and completed radioactivity estimates to support waste disposal. Provided support to waste generators for large or complex waste-disposal projects.
