• Studied existing manual systems, identified shortcomings, proposed for new computerized systems. • Designed and documented system requirements for new proposed Telephone Billing Software. • Designed database schema and created database objects. • Installed oracle software and created database • Installed and maintained Real Application Cluster (RAC) • Connected client to database server through Oracle SQL* Net Services using local naming (tnsname.ora) • Altered/dropped/switched/renamed/viewed schemas, different tablespaces/ undo tablespaces • created/altered/dropped users’ privileges • Created /altered/dropped tables, views, constraints, sequences • Wrote procedures, functions, triggers, cursors and packages including providing access privileges for objects. • Imported external flat files into database using oracle loader • used troubleshooting tools to ping, tnsping, trace file and logfiles • Executed system and SQL performance issues using statspack, explain plan ,hints and indexes • Used data moving utilities to export/import databases, schemas, tables, tablespaces • Confirmed data protection against corruptions and data loss using Data Guard • Took physical and logical backup • Recovered data in case of data corruption. • Performed testing, debugging and deployment in production. • Rendered support services to the users.
