Daily Duties at Materials & Energy Corporation (Subsidiary Of Perma Fix):
This was may first role with M&EC as a subsidiary of Perma-Fix. It was an extension of my role with Performance Development Corporation (PDC), the original owners of M&EC. I continued the process engineering and environmental permitting roles that I had begun while an employee of PDC. I played a major role in determing the requirements for the M&EC facility, conceptual process design, and process flow charting. During construction of the M&EC facility, worked with a multi-disciplinary team to develop operational methods, and turn those into formal procedures. I was responsible for review of incoming waste profiles, development of waste treatment protocols, waste treatment campaign coordination, and treated waste characterization.
What they like about Materials & Energy Corporation (Subsidiary Of Perma Fix):
The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
