Daily Duties at Department Of Veterans Affairs:
As a Program Manager, I serve as a management liaison to integrated project teams during the development of nationwide standardization acquisitions for surgical tools used by the Department of Veteran Affairs. I provide both technical and acquisition expertise in the form on requirement development, source selection planning and evaluation criteria development, and overall high level acquisition planning. I analyze and implement policies, regulations and procedures that affect the national standardization of surgical products used in VA medical facilities. I assist with the implementation of the Program Executive Officer’s overall guidance/direction and provide technical insight into developing/managing policies, procedures and operational schedules. I analyze all acquisition and procurement tasks related to the different functions in the life cycle phases. Additionally, I plan, implement, monitor and evaluate solutions requiring the application of advanced organizational principles and use an even wider range of qualitative and quantitative techniques. Finally, I review the total life cycle support function across PM/PEO, using the key baseline criteria of cost, schedule and technical performance.
