Responsible for $12 Million AR. Managed the daily operations of the Behavioral Health Network Patient Accounts Department. Accountable for management, development, evaluation hiring and discipline of billing and collections staff. Planed and developed policies and procedures to improve services and operations. Coordinated patient accounting processes with other departments to ensure proper coding and billing parameters are met. Worked with all revenue departments to set up charge master. Managed departmental budget. Forecasted payor revenues monthly, quarterly and yearly. Worked with Information Services to enhance and implement new automated processes within the patient accounting system. Managed credentialing application processes. Assisted in contracting efforts with Managed Care Department. Communicated with all payers regarding coding, fees, appeals, benefits and other miscellaneous billing business. On the HIPAA Privacy Committee for Truman Medical Centers, Inc. Assisted in writing HIPAA policies and procedures corporate and departmental.
