Daily Duties at Mgm Resorts International New York New York Property:
I was the Project Manager and Diversity Champion for NYNY Hotel & Casino. I completed a 40 hour Diversity and Inclusion train the trainer class, I then facilitated and coordinated Diversity training (class was 8 hours) for supervisors and above. Under my leadership NY NY had a completion of 98% training for Supervisors and above for 2002. I also handled all employee relation issues, coaching and counseling, suspensions, union grievances and terminations, effectively and confidentially which lead to higher employee retention. I worked with employees, management, and union stewards to ensure that we were adhering to the bylaws set forth in the union contract. I also worked with the management team during union negotiations to have an alternative plan in case a contract wasn’t ratified. I built strong relationships and rapport with my Managers, Union Stewards and Employees which allowed me to effectively and efficiently resolove employee relations' issues proactively. I also proactively recommended new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed. Conferred with department managers, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations that required training. Focused on staying appraised of changes in policies, procedures, regulations and business initiatives. Worked with management to coordinate and/or conduct training sessions covering specific areas such as discipline techniques. Worked with specific computer programs such as Filenet and PVN. Maintained confidential files.
