Daily Duties at Kaplan Higher Education Corp (Formerly Quest Education):
Selected as the organization’s first-ever HR leader. Trained and developed leaders on interviewing, employment law, and performance management, to better prepare them to lead each campus location. Coached campus leaders on correctly communicating the corporate message. Indirectly managed two exempt employees. Selected as the organization’s first-ever HR leader. Trained and developed leaders on interviewing, employment law, and performance management, to better prepare them to lead each campus location. The Human Resources Manager serves as a partner to management and employees on Human Resources-related issues. The HRM will anticipate, assess, and help answer HR concerns and questions. Additionally, the HRM will develop, recommend, and implement new, or modified procedures, determine training needs, and conduct coaching and counseling sessions as appropriate. The HRM will also provide performance management guidance to campus management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), and work closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and boost retention. Indirectly managed two exempt employees.
