Daily Duties at Virginia Beach Psychiatric Hospital:
Worked under a full time contract through Pharmacy Resources Network in the in-patient Pharmacy Utilizing the Pyxis system to dispense prescription in Unit Dose formats to the Nurses stations in carts with the Charge Nurse for the in-patients as prescribed by their Physicians. Consulted with the Physicians and Nurses on the drugs prescribed. Retrieved and accounted for medications used, patients discharged and restocked the carts pursuant to the days count of new and existing patients. Managed the technicians who assisted in the filling of prescription orders, managed the drug inventory and ensured a smooth work flow and an open door communication policy with all the departments of the hospital.
