Daily Duties at Ayres Suites Corona West :

Oversaw hotel staff of 54+ by maintaining yield meetings for front desk employees. Maintain yield meetings along with other front desk employees. Responsible for overall operations of hotel (Check In/Out procedures, Implement and Follow up on Daily Checklists, Follow up with Guest Complaint/Issues, manage night team members), while serving as manager-on duty. Supervised more than 54 staff members of 166-room hotel by maintaining yield meetings for front desk employees. Directed guest check-in and checkout process, generated room inventory reports, and issued daily customer credits. Manage issuance of payments and balancing of bank deposits and statements. Respond to a variety of situations such as late check-ins, intoxicated guests and loud parties. Supervises others who work the overnight shift, including front desk clerks, night auditors, maintenance crew, and security. Make a schedule for all employees and supervise them on shift. Responsible for making sure they are trained on all functions of their job. In charge of planning and leading meetings. Spends part of the time working the front desk, greeting guests, checking people into their rooms, making reservations, and providing guest assistance with a variety of needs. Keeps track of which guests are staying in which room to know which unoccupied rooms need to be cleaned or can be reserved. Responsible for wake-up calls and getting guests things they need throughout the night such as extra robes or towels, toothbrush or toothpaste, and bath accessories. Enforce quiet hours and no smoking policies. Perform nightly audits and oversee the accounts receivable. Prepares daily credit limit and cash reports. Maintains guest accounts. Print out and deliver the bills to those checking out. Make corrections or adjustments to bills as needed. Responsible for dispatching maintenance to: change light bulbs in the hallways or guest rooms, fix elevator problems, tend to guest problems with sinks, toilets or showers, and clean up messes around the property. Maintain knowledge of all company promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on request. Responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests and the emergency services; be accountable for guests’ safety and comfort. Complete security checks at hourly intervals throughout the night. Maintain personnel knowledge by completing in-house training, attending courses and completing workbooks.
