Daily Duties at Ayres Inn And Suites Ontario Mills Mall:

Manage and assist general manager in leadership and direction of all departments of the hotel & directly collaborate with department heads for the effective and profitable day to day operations (Daily Bank Deposits, Payroll, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Labor Management) of the hotel through established corporate guidelines & directive. Guide, assist, and direct front office through their daily activities (Check In/Out procedures, Implement and Follow up on Daily Checklists, Follow up with Guest Complaint/Issues), while ensuring constant adherence labor standards. Prepare weekly schedules. Assisted general manager with daily operations (Daily Bank Deposits, Payroll, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Labor Management) of 105-room hotel. Managed team members and supervised all hotel departments. Administered guest packages and generated room inventory reports. Established daily check lists to complete tasks in efficient and timely manner (Bucket checks, Preparation for Internal Audits, Preparation for Quality Control Audits, Implementation of Spirit To Serve Program). Integrated corporate policies and procedures in day-to-day hotel operations (Check Logs, Properly using company’s online database, properly using the PMS, daily bank deposits, maintain Employee files, maintain AR account balances. Responsible for the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met. Accurately forecasts revenues/expenses. Anticipates revenue/cost problems and manages the timing of discretionary expenditures to stabilize cash flow. Analyzes financial and operation information on ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements and operating costs. Ensures hotel staff is trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories and receivables, and that these procedures are regularly followed. Ensures all hotel staff, including new hires, know all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet the Spirit to Serve standards; develops added value customer service programs. Manages human resources functions including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, and performance planning and evaluation, pay and incentive programs to maintain a qualified work force. Ensures personnel files are accurate and comply with both local and federal laws and regulations. Ensures training objective and developments plans are completed. Monitors and maintains acceptable turnover levels. Periodically inspect rooms, building exterior, parking lot, etc.) Establishes and maintains a pro-active human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage and benefits administration, and compliance with established labor regulations.
