Daily Duties at City Of Tampa:
1. (Description of role hired to do) oversees and implements Public Art Ordinance Chapter 4 of City Code, and all of its required functions including coordination with city clerk’s office and managing public art committee; maintains city’s public art collection, acts as a liaison between arts community, especially artists, and the city of Tampa. 2. Develops procedures for reviewing and selecting sites for public art installations; develops procedures for selecting and registering public artists 3. Oversees engineering, installation and maintenance of public art 4. Assists both public and private organizations in the implementation of program requirements 5. Hosts monthly public art television program on CTTV 6. Organizes and conducts public art tours, lectures and workshops 7. Coordinate activities involving multiple participants from the public and private sectors; plan, organize and execute art displays 8. Oversee program budget and operations 9. Considerable knowledge of various forms of artistic expression and media are required
