Daily Duties at Flight International:

Researched and purchased aircraft spares, raw materials, avionics and accessories parts, equipment and other items for aircraft maintenance, repair, modifications, and refurbishments. Performed vendor approval processes when a new vendor was selected to be in compliance with FAA requirements. Received MRO's (Material Request Order) and began process of quoting and selecting vendor. Completed expense report for approval to purchase parts, raw materials, equipment, or service. Purchased parts, supplies, equipment, raw materials, and rotables for aircraft support and shipped to various parts of the world. Assisted AP in getting invoices paid and what accounts to charge and obtaining advance funding when necessary to obtain parts or services. Decided best method for shipping to sites overseas. Ensuring parts, raw materials, equipment or service was received at site and available when needed. Ensured parts and services were in accordance with our requirements. If problems arose, consulted Quality Assurance to get approval for use or to assist in getting necessary items. Ensured parts received and cores sent back to vendor to prevent being charged. Assisted accounts payable when necessary to resolve issues involving invoices and price differences and what charge codes to use. Closed purchase orders once items were received and invoices verified prices.
