Daily Duties at The Sytex Group:

- Managed information assurance projects for public and private sector organizations. - Developed winning proposals for new business with the Department of Health and Human Services for the states of Oregon and Texas. Managed those new projects providing security controls audits and vulnerability testing services as well as risk evaluation and mitigation solutions development services. - Provided Interim-CIO services for a non-profit organization in Texas. - Develop and manage project budgets. - Provide project updates to customers and Sytex senior management. - Identify potential customers for new business. - Assist in marketing Sytex consultative services in new business markets. Helped develop marketing materials. - Supervised project personnel and provided personnel performance reviews for 7 direct reporting employees. - Research and test possible solutions customers with the goal of meeting their specific information security and compliance governance requirements. This included interviewing solutions providers and testing their hardware or software for applicability in customer's enterprise environments or for the protection of their information assets, facilities, and personnel.
