Daily Duties at Wellpoint:

• Investigate, review and analyze health care claims and medical record documentation to identify health care claim fraud and/or abuse. • Independently determine the most effective and efficient method of investigation for each case • Secure all necessary information and documentation to conduct analysis of each claim investigated. • Interpreting information and documenting material evidence in support of investigation findings. • Conduct interviews of patients and medical personnel. • Prepare detailed written investigative reports. • Present investigative findings in oral and written format to Senior Level Management. • Conduct field surveillance. • Utilize various Investigative tools (FAMS,Accurint,WebCrims,PACER) and databases to identify fraud. • Obtained and was certified as an Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI) from NHCAA. • Completed a Professional Medical Coding Curriculum by the AAPC.
