Daily Duties at Independent Health:
Strategic management of claims operations for the pre-tax and ancillary lines of business for one of the largest regional insurance payers in New York State. Of the 450,000 medical members, I was responsible for the daily plan design, sales support, account management and oversight of claims operations for 27,000 pre-tax accounts. My staff included 12 claims operations representatives and administrative support staff. As the Product Manager, my key responsibilities were daily claims operations, Debit card substantiations procedures and management, unique benefit programs (discount programs), complex HRA plan design and benefit coordination, implementation process creation and management of all FSA,HRA, and parking/transit, renewal processing of same lines of business including preparation and amendment of SPD, Plan Document, SMM and Service Agreements, claims and staff key performance management.
