Daily Duties at Universal Studios Orlando:

• Designed the visual layout of Costuming Department for special guests and VIP tours. Showcased over 100 costumes for Visual Marketing press and corporate events. Responsible for all visual layout press releases and up-coming events at Universal Orlando. • Tracked and managed all budgets for daily park operations, press events, and marquee events. Ensuring the department stays within the allotted budget, while negotiating higher budgets for the up-coming year by proving the return of investment. • Managed the daily operations of the Costume Issue Area and Make-up Artists. Ensured that all goals and objectives are met within the department for Supervisors, Leads, Dressers, Runners, Costume Technicians, and Costumers; as well as the Make-up Artist and Prosthetics team. • Ensured that all staffing needs are met for both daily operations and events without accruing overtime. Managed operational inventory, ensuring all necessary materials and supplies are stocked while staying within the yearly budget and reducing inventory loss. • Opened the Superstar Parade with over two million dollars of costumes and make-up. Staffed rehearsals, fittings, Executive Review, press events, and Grand Opening. Costumes for the parade have reached the highest possible Guest Approval Ratings. • Collaborated with Stage Managers and Show Directors during the approval processes of • Performed fittings to ensure the costumes properly fit each performer, in addition with providing feedback to performers when they are not within the necessary costuming guidelines. • Managed quality control on all costumes, accessories, shoes, and additional inventory for the park, special events, and marquee events. • Staffed, trained, and scheduled all Dressers and Make-up Artist for all marquee events: Halloween Horror Nights, Grinchmas, Macy’s Holiday Parade, and Mardi Gras Parade. Managed the distribution, fitting, cleaning, and repairs of over 2,000 costumes. • Created and maintained a positive working environment for direct reports, including internal clients: performers, stage managers, directors, and divisional managers. • Developed a comprehensive training program for new and existing employees, ensuring consistent and effective working procedures while providing the highest quality of Costumer Service. • Administer yearly reviews for all full-time and causal team members; identifying strengths and developmental areas. Ensure all team members have an opportunity for additional training to increase their knowledge and skill base. Manage team member’s schedules and attendance counseling to ensure they are within UO policies and guidelines. • Implemented costuming presentations for senior management that incorporated Universal merchandise for press event and promotional photo shoot. • Direct all functions related to the Costume and Make-up department including the execution of two major layout and floor renovations in a larger costuming building.
