Daily Duties at M+W Group:
Inside Sales Manager Responsibilities: Manage/supervise activities of pursuit teams to include leading and facilitating strategy sessions to capture client, competitor, and internal capabilities intelligence. Support Business Development Vice Presidents and market sector leadership in the development of capture plans. Manage and lead a varying team (1-10) of sales and operational personnel nationally to develop strategies to produce award-winning client deliverables. Support data-gathering/analysis (internal company and external clients and competitors). Draft sales material and facilitate internal working sessions to gather feedback and changes. Coordinate marketing efforts and provide a communication link across departments, disciplines, offices and regions. Partner with appropriate departments and establish requirements, timelines, and processes for development of client deliverables. Ensure that all sales materials/deliverables comply with client criteria and confidentiality requirements. Provide assessments of capture process, strategy and competitiveness. Develop presentation strategies and structures and coach presentation teams. Develop and maintain qualification materials including project descriptions, experience matrices/overviews, safety and quality statistics, and capability statements. Establish response outlines and responsibility matrices to drive a coordinated effort on various client pursuits. Attend conferences to promote the company and generate new business leads. Support implementation of flexible and adaptable procedures to advance competitiveness and improve probability of winning. Provide support for Core Win opportunities enabling clear lines of communication between Executive Management, operations and business development to provide capture teams the benefit of the corporation’s full support. Understand M+W and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Sales Process Development and Implementation Responsibilities: Develop sales process framework and supporting tools and procedures. Continually refine and streamline the sales process and act as a subject matter expert within M+W. Participate in weekly meetings to establish timelines and actions required for process improvements. Monitor implementation and progress of tools and procedures, and confirm key stakeholders are kept informed about updates and expected outcomes. Mentor capture teams as appropriate to implement sales process best practices. Stay abreast of current business trends relevant to capture planning processes. Provide leadership in integrating sales strategies and execution across the organization and cross-functional teams. Facilitate sharing of “best practices” across the sales group to improve business models.
