Performed electrochemical test to check which surface treatment of selected steels was more passive or active in an atmosphere with Sulfate Reducing Bacterias (SRB) Conducted surface analytical test e.g. light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to see the effect of the corrosive medium on the material after the different heat treatments Modelled a SRB producing medium to check which surface treatment was more resistive to the production of the bacteria leading to corrosion. Evaluated the results to select which surface treatment is best for the manufacture of reactors.
